Website Refresh w/ Claude
Client: Mojo Cement
A complete website redesign, using Claude Code to build the MVP. So far, so good…
The Challenge
The previous agilityweb.io site was a flat, hand-maintained site that had grown hard to update. Services and Work were static pages rather than structured content, branding decisions (colors, icons, spacing) were scattered across one-off CSS rather than centralized, and there was no real path to add new content types — a new service or case study meant building a new page from scratch instead of filling in a form.
The Approach
Rather than reaching for a page builder or a SaaS site tool, the rebuild is a from-scratch classic WordPress theme, built collaboratively with Claude Code: custom post types for Services and Work, ACF-driven fields instead of hardcoded content, and a reusable component library (icon set, card styles, brand color system) so new content follows the same patterns automatically instead of needing new CSS every time.
The build has been iterative and feedback-driven — theme settings for brand colors, icon choice, card styling, and footer/CTA behavior instead of hardcoded values; native WordPress search instead of a plugin; a reusable FAQ system and a globally-configurable CTA banner instead of one-off page content.
The Result
So far: a fully custom, plugin-light theme with structured content for Services and Work, sitewide branding controlled from one Theme Settings screen, real accessibility-conscious contrast checking baked into the color system, and native search that actually finds content because it isn’t split across duplicate fields. Development is ongoing — this project page is, fittingly, part of what it’s describing.
