WordPress Development, Maintenance & Support
WordPress is incredibly flexible, but getting it to remain fast, secure, maintainable, and easy to manage requires thoughtful development.
Agility Web builds custom WordPress solutions around the way your organization actually works. From custom themes and Advanced Custom Fields implementations to plugin development and bespoke functionality, your website is built for your needs rather than forced into a prepackaged template.
I also provide ongoing maintenance and technical support to keep your WordPress installation healthy as it evolves. Updates, troubleshooting, plugin conflicts, content-management issues, and unexpected problems are all part of owning a website. You shouldn’t have to become a WordPress expert just to keep yours running.
Whether you’re starting a new WordPress website or inheriting an existing one that has become difficult to maintain, I’ll help you establish a cleaner, more reliable foundation.
Build it right. Keep it healthy.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in your WordPress maintenance and support service?
Core, theme, and plugin updates, security and uptime monitoring, regular backups, and hands-on troubleshooting whenever something goes wrong. It’s built around keeping your site healthy without you having to think about it.
Do you build with a page builder, or fully custom code?
Fully custom-coded themes, built specifically around how your business actually works — not templated onto a prebuilt page-builder framework. Content is still easy to manage day-to-day through the standard WordPress and Advanced Custom Fields editing screens.
Can you take over a WordPress site someone else built?
Yes — inheriting an existing site that’s become hard to maintain is one of the most common starting points. I’ll audit what’s there, clean up what’s causing problems, and get it onto a more stable, maintainable foundation.
How do you handle WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates?
Regularly and carefully — updates get reviewed rather than applied blindly, since a routine plugin update is one of the most common ways a live site breaks. You don’t have to track any of it yourself.
What happens if my site goes down or something breaks?
You reach me directly, not a support ticket queue. Fixing an active problem takes priority over everything else.
Do you provide hosting, or do I need my own?
I can work with hosting you already have, or point you toward a solid option if you’re starting from scratch — whichever fits your situation better.
How long does a custom WordPress build usually take?
It depends on scope — a rebuild of an existing site looks different from a new site built around custom post types and ACF fields. I’ll give you a realistic timeline once I understand what you actually need.
Will I be able to update the site myself once it's built?
Yes. Everything is built so day-to-day content changes — text, images, new pages, new posts — are things you can do yourself through WordPress’s normal editing screens, without needing to touch code.
Do you only do ongoing maintenance, or one-time projects too?
Both. Some clients need a single project built and handed off; others prefer an ongoing arrangement where I handle updates, monitoring, and support long-term. We can start with either and adjust as needed.
I just have one specific WordPress problem — do I need a full maintenance plan?
Not at all. One-off troubleshooting and fixes are available without committing to ongoing support — plenty of people come to me for exactly that.
