Modernization

Most outdated websites do not fail all at once. They degrade slowly, one deferred update at a time, until the gap between what visitors expect and what the site actually delivers becomes impossible to ignore.

If any of the following sound familiar, it is worth scheduling a proper modernization audit before the gap gets any wider:

1. Page speed has quietly gotten worse. Plugins accumulate, images pile up unoptimized, and nobody notices until a customer mentions the site feels slow on their phone.

2. The design still looks like 2016. Visual trends move on, but more importantly, so does user expectation for how a modern, trustworthy business should present itself online.

3. Mobile traffic is being underserved. A site that was “responsive enough” five years ago is often genuinely broken on today’s device sizes and browsers.

4. Nobody internally knows how to update it. When the only person who understood the theme left the company three years ago, that is not stability – that is risk sitting quietly in production.

5. It still runs on abandoned plugins or a version of PHP nobody supports anymore. This one is not cosmetic – it is a real security and compliance liability.

A modernization audit does not have to mean a full rebuild. Often it means identifying the handful of structural issues that are actually costing you traffic and conversions, and fixing those first.
